a little bit of CyberPunk - Dark Alley

Inspired by Gibson's "Neuromancer" world i created this personal "view of a dark alley" using a combination of 2D and 3D.
Not used to creating characters i took the occasion to challenge myself and test my good old friend Anders Langlands powerful custom shaders for Arnold, plus some Keyshot help.
Face model from Ten24 library with some added ZBrush work.

and here's the starting point, the natural look before going cyberpunk on her

Architectural quick study

Guptill Style

Always loved Guptill thumbnails sketching style, here i'm doing little studies using graphite with ink and watercolor

La Scapigliatura

Oil on canvas paper

40 minutes Pastel sketch during today's power outage. From Karen Margulis
Really love the texture of a messy pastel, there's something magic about it.
Can't stand it on my fingers though, but jeez texture is so cool...

Celebrating the arrival of my Paintbook with a quick 2 hours study in acrylic from master Richard Schmid

Monet colors, oil

I really loved a PBS series by artist David Dunlop, interesting tips and famous paintings analysis. In one episode they paint plein air in Giverny, and having beautiful memories of that historical place i could not but paint a little color study myself, oil on canvas
